Four years of responsible experience in a financial setting; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business administration, finance administration, or closely related field; Excellent oral and written communication skills

Colleague (Ellucian) experience; Community College experience; Supervisory experience
Position Description
Performs professional and technical accounting and financial duties in a variety of areas including but not limited to accounts payable, financial aid disbursements, capital improvements, construction projects, fixed assets, and financial reporting. Exercises supervision over technical staff.
Duties
Supervises, plans, and organizes the financial aid disbursement function, the VA tuition certification function, and other miscellaneous technical functions within Business and Finance; Prepares monthly and annual financial reports; Performs financial analysis for specific problems upon request; Posts journal entries; Prepares invoices for payment on construction projects and prepares required forms for state and county reimbursement; Prepares cash flow projections for bond funds as required; Reviews and updates internal control procedures as needed; Reviews and approves accounts payable invoices; Processes paperwork and initiates transactions for electronic distribution of student refunds; Assists with year-end closeout of financial records; Processes replacement checks; Prepares quarterly personal service taxes; Completes annual escheat process; Performs other duties as assigned.
