Minimum Qualifications

A Master's degree in a foreign language or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in a foreign language from a regionally accredited institution is required. Candidates must be able to teach online or on the main campus of Wayne Community College. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, excellent oral and written communication skills, being a self-starter, and team player, and the ability to work collaboratively with others are required. 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with a diverse population is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Position Description

Instructional duties include teaching day or evening classes, on-site courses, hybrid courses, and/or online courses. The instructor will teach introductory foreign language classes along with corresponding labs. Duties include submitting reports as required and maintaining student evaluation records; participation in curriculum development, revision, implementation, and evaluation; and performing all other duties as assigned by the Language and Communications Department Chair and/or Dean.
