High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in trade(s) areas assigned; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Trade certificates a plus. Three or more years of supervisory experience.

Position Description
- Responsible for work directions, schedules, training, supervision, and evaluation of facility staff.
- Visually inspect campus to identify/detect problem areas in need of repair, maintenance and compliance with appropriate regulatory codes.
- Investigates and troubleshoots facilities and systems across the campus, coordinates problem resolutions.
- Performs all types of preventative maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment.
- Coordinates with external service agencies to schedule repair work.
- Assists VP as requested with campus renovations and projects.
- Maintain accurate records for all major equipment, facilities repairs, and scheduled maintenance; as well as other periodic reports.
- Responsible for facilities material and supply inventory.
- Manage assigned budgets.
- Responds to emergencies during off-duty hours and as needed.
- Obtain price quotes and bids from vendors and prepares requisitions.
- Assists with repair and construction work as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance/Custodian Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
