Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in Networking Technology or a closely related degree and a minimum of two years related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Networking Technology or a closely related degree and a minimum of two years related preferred.Net+ and Server+ certifications preferred.

Position Description

Responsible for the administration, operation and maintenance of the college’s Web, Mobile, Student Self-Service, file and print sharing, Hyper-Virtual Machines, Eaglesoft, and Abila programs.

Responsible for the security of all information systems which include: patching all software systems as required using WSUS servers.

Configuration and maintenance of wireless networking services, Local Area Network (LAN) operations to include wired, wireless and Wide Area Network (WAN) operations and Public wireless, Enterprise Wireless, Enterprise wired.

Operation and maintenance of the PIX firewall log analyzer, Firegen, and Firewall Administration.

Repair, modify and maintain the Category 5/fiber cable infrastructure.

Responsible for data backup (Barracuda, Veeam, and UniTrends) and disaster recovery, including Generator, battery backups (UPS).

Respond to Network related helpdesk calls/tickets. Participates in committees of the College.

Incumbent must demonstrate interpersonal skills applicable to working with a diverse group of stakeholders internally and externally to the institution.

Produces accurate and timely reports.
