Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with work experience in the area of education and knowledge of Microsoft Office, required. 

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in a secondary school, preferred. 

Position Description

Responsible to the Director, College and Career Readiness and Academic Studies Center in providing instruction and instructional support services for students.  Responsible for ensuring quality instruction for Adult High School and Academic Studies Center by planning, organizing, and providing counseling and support services for AHS students; implementing strategies to transition students to Human Resources Development (HRD), Continuing Education (CE) and Curriculum (CU) programs; maintaining accurate and timely data concerning instructional lab hours; providing admission interviews and conducting assessment and follow-up sessions with students; plan, organize, and provide counseling and support services for Adult High School students and refer to other agencies as needed for personal academic counseling; bringing current subject matter expertise to the task of curriculum design and revision for AHS students; coordinating the staff schedule in the Academic Studies Center; assisting the director in employment and assessment of ASC staff, supervising distance education instruction for CCR students and researching and implementing new opportunities for distance education instruction; implementing procedures for follow-up of dropouts; identifying and implementing student success strategies; and performing other duties and assignments as determined by the supervisor.  This is a daytime position with some scheduled evening work.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.

Start Date:  August 2, 2021.
