Required:  NC credentialed Level I EMS Instructor at the EMT level, or higher, as defined in the rules of the NC Medical Care Commission, American Heart Association BLS Provider Instructor, Associate Degree in EMS or other health science field, and 2-3 years teaching and/or field experience.  

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  Preferred:  Level II EMS Instructor and Bachelor's degree, or higher, in related field. Community college teaching experience preferred.

Position Description

Description

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating all student clinical-related activities within the Continuing Education Emergency Medical Technician Program, as well as instructing EMS courses for Continuing Education.  Provide classroom and clinical instruction for various subjects in the field of EMS.  Participate in overall program evaluation to maintain compliance with the NC Office of Emergency Medical Science and accrediting bodies.  Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and ensure student progress.  Actively participate in Division meetings as well as in budget planning, preparation, and execution.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.

Start Date:  January 3, 2023.

Closing Date:  December 7, 2022, or open until filled.
