Minimum Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or Special Education required with related work experience in counseling, education, or human service, required. Microsoft Office skills and experience with digital platforms required. 

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Special Education, preferred.  Experience in a community college setting preferred.

Position Description

Responsible for the overall coordination of admissions, counseling, and support services for students with self-identified disabilities in need of ADA accommodations.  The Coordinator leads and participates in the development, planning, implementation, and administration of academic goals, objectives, and procedures related to disability services; coordinates accommodations for eligible curriculum and Continuing Education students requesting services under ADA regulations; develops and recommends new or modified programs and procedures related to disability services; plans, develops and initiates effective services and workshops related to disability services; advices, counsels, and provides reasonable accommodations to students; and develops and maintains listings of appropriate providers and referrals.  In addition, the Coordinator for Disability Support Services will provide support and assist with other essential functions of the Student Services Division.  This is a daytime position requiring some scheduled evening work and local travel.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.
