Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and a current North Carolina Level II-EMS Instructor Credential at the Paramedic Level, required. Must have EMS or related allied health education, training, and experience, be knowledgeable about methods of instruction, testing, and evaluation, of students, and have field experience in the delivery of pre-hospital emergency care. Minimum of two consecutive years education experience at the paramedic level is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Community College teaching experience and prior supervisory experience, preferred. Master's degree in a health-related field, preferred.
Position Description
The Director for Emergency Medical Science is responsible for the planning, programming, instruction, and evaluation of the Emergency Medical Science (EMS) related program offerings within both Continuing Education (CE) and Curriculum (CU). (12 month position).
Participates in overall program evaluation to maintain compliance with the Committee on Accreditation of Emergency Medical Science Programs (CoAEMSP). Assists with the hiring, evaluation, performance management, and professional development of full-time and/or part-time faculty/staff. Maintains current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Participates in budget planning, preparation, and execution. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as a full-time employee. Must be willing to travel.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., occasional evenings and weekend hours.
Salary: $4,997.00 per month with final salary determination based upon education and experience.
Start Date: January 3, 2024.
Closing Date: December 3, 2023, or open until filled.
