Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in the teaching discipline, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline, by the start date is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Community college teaching experience is preferred.

Position Description

This is a nine (9) month position with possible summer employment.  Responsible for preparing and delivering instruction to a diverse student population using not only various course delivery methods (e.g., seated, online, hybrid, etcetera) but also various course delivery lengths (e.g., 16-week, 12-week, 8-week, etcetera) at various locations (e.g., campus classrooms and/or lab facilities, military installations, clinical and/or extension sites, high schools, etcetera).

The position is also responsible for directing productions by the New River Players, which is a collaborative theatre group composing of not only students but also community members, as well as coordinating with the Fine Arts Department Head and the Division Chair for Humanities and Fine Arts to select each production, budget, schedule, and ensure successful production completion.

Fulfill other responsibilities and duties as a curriculum faculty member and full-time employee, to include but not limited to other duties as assigned.  Monday - Friday with a minimum of thirty (30) contact/office hours per week.  Note:  Working days and working hours may vary, based upon institutional need or programmatic requirements.

Salary:  $5,045.00 per month.

Start Date:  August 10, 2023.

Closing Date:  May 29, 2023, or open until filled.
