Position Description

Responsible for planning, programming, instruction, evaluation of courses, and student retention in the College and Career Readiness (CCR) program.  Oversee course curriculum to ensure quality programming in all CCR classes meeting NC CCR ABE/ASE standards by discipline.   Lead the planning, supervision, and evaluation, marketing and recruitment of courses. Review and select appropriate materials for student success and participate in regular program review.  Provide opportunities for student success and retention, supervision and support for seated instructional programs and classes while maintaining customer service focus, and providing instructional services to meet the needs of the service area.  Implement strategies to transition students to the Human Resources Department, Continuing Education and curriculum programs.  Conduct evaluations of instructors while assisting with professional development; registration, scheduling, production of materials, and facilities use, while designing and delivering staff development training, and coordinating and administering NRS approved assessments for the CCR program.  Recruit, screen and recommend part-time instructors. Develop and administer an effective new instructor orientation and training program.  Adhere to auditing procedures and the State Board of Community Colleges Code as well as all policies covered in the Continuing Education Accountability Plan.  Represent the college and promote a productive relationship, and establish a network of professionals in the service area.
