Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in the teaching discipline with appropriate experience in architectural technology, required.  Knowledge in Microsoft applications, required.The preferred candidate will also have five (5) or more years experience in the architectural, engineering, or construction industry.  

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience teaching in a community college setting, preferred.  Prior teaching experience in the field, preferred.  

Position Description

This is a nine (9) month position.  Primary responsibilities include instruction and development of architectural technology courses within the Architectural Technology Program utilizing current industry standards and safety procedures.
Responsible for both preparing and delivering instruction to a diverse student population using not only various course delivery methods (e.g., seated, online, hybrid, etcetera) but also various course delivery lengths (e.g., 16-week, 12-week, 8-week, etcetera).  Fulfill other responsibilities and duties as a curriculum faculty member and full-time employee, to include but not limited to other duties a assigned.  Responsible for the development and instruction of courses within the Architectural Technology Program utilizing current industry standards and practices.  Ongoing duties include participating in student recruitment activities, developing and managing budgets, ordering equipment and supplies, and developing class schedules.  Additional duties include, but are not limited to, academic advising, job placement assistance, interaction with Advisory Committee members, and serving on college committees, and participating in college activities.

Working hours: Monday - Friday with a minimum of thirty (30) contact/office hours per week.  *Note: Working days and working hours may vary, based upon institutional need or programmatic requirements.

Salary: Minimum monthly salary is $4,717.00 per month, with final determined based upon education and experience.

Closing Date: June 30, 2024, or open until filled.

Start Date: August 13, 2024.
