Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is required.  One to three years of demonstrated experience in grant research and development and proficient with Microsoft Office are required.  Must have excellent leadership and communication skills (oral and written) and possess the ability to work with diverse groups.  

 

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s degree is preferred.  A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.

 

Position Description

The Grants Coordinator will identify grant funding resources; coordinate with faculty, staff, and administrators to work collaboratively on pursing funding opportunities; build and maintain positive relationships with grantor organizations; research, evaluate, and communicate available sources of grant support to the college community of faculty, staff, and administration.  Duties include planning for the timely development, writing, and submission of grant proposals with campus administrators, leadership, faculty and staff; preparing competitive grant proposals and applications; assist faculty and staff with project development; prepare project start-up budgets; and coordinate grant development and management process with appropriate departments and personnel.  The Grant Coordinator will orient new project coordinators with the requirements of funded projects; coordinate with Business Office personnel regarding post award grant project budgets; ensure assigned projects are completed and submitted in accordance with funding agency directions, college policies and procedures; track and report grant activities by writing and submitting interim and final reports; and maintain an electronic database for reporting and tracking all proposal and grant award information.
