Position Description

Responsible for managing full-time Data Services Technicians, part-time Help Desk personnel, and part-time lab monitors; overseeing the departmental responsibilities of managing desktops, laptops, printers, and classroom media needs; managing the Service Desk tracking software; and providing management with key performance indicator reports. Must be able to evaluate and make changes to improve efficiencies and be able to plan and manage an annual budget for area.  Responsible for hiring, training and supervising all part-time Help Desk employees and lab monitors; managing the activities of Data Service Technicians, maintaining computer and printer inventory management; overseeing and further developing the service desk application; and reporting services provided on a monthly basis.  Associates degree or higher in a computer related field and supervisory experience, required.  Must pass background check to obtain contractor ID for Camp Lejeune and New River Air Station within thirty (30) days, and certify as a Lenovo warranty technician within six (6) months of employment.  Bachelor’s degree, 2 years management experience, A+ certification, Security+ certification, and ITIL certification, preferred.  Hours:  Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Salary:  Based on education and experience.

Start Date:  July 15, 2019.
