Position Description
The High School Partnerships Specialist provides administrative and technical support for the Career and College Promise (CCP) programs on the Davidson Campus including College Transfer Pathways (CTP), Career and Technical Education Pathways (CTE), and Cooperative Innovative High School Programs (CIHS), Davidson Early College and Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO ON A TYPICAL DAY:
The position is part-time and reports to the Director, High School Partnerships and Initiatives, and has the following responsibilities:
Receipts, evaluates for completeness, corrects, processes, and records student documents related to CCP and CIHS admissions
Requests and evaluates high school transcripts each semester
Manages CCP and CIHS student records through program completion in accordance to CCP Operating Procedures
Coordinates Orientation for new CCP students
Assists with presentations for students and parents about CCP and other high school initiatives
Assists with textbook orders and distribution for CIHS
Provides technical support, as needed, to assist students with completing enrollment steps, including setting up and accessing campus student portal and email accounts
Provides exceptional student-centered customer service, ensuring quality support to public, private and home school students and parents throughout the program life cycle
Generates outgoing correspondence to students and parents
Works collaboratively with CCP staff and other campus departments to provide support in ensuring a smooth entry process for new and returning students
Engages in active problem-solving
Maintains sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds
Maintains confidentiality and compliance with FERPA regulations, carefully monitoring student records at the workstation for security, accuracy, and properly store all student records in compliance with state and federal law
Participates in professional development appropriate to the functions of the position
Prepares reports upon request of supervisor
Performs other duties appropriate to the title and as assigned that support the mission of
