The primary responsibility is to supervise the housekeeping staff (night shift) covering 13 buildings and 25 floors.  This is a working supervisory position and the individual will be expected to actively participate in the housekeeping rotation and duties.  Primary tasks for the night shift is floor maintenance including but not limited to the operation of a power buffer and carpet shampoo machines, stripping and waxing floors and deep cleaning carpets.  Other tasks include assigning buildings and floors, monitoring performance of staff, training staff, taking corrective action as needed, maintaining supplies in adequate stock levels, and other general housekeeping tasks.  This position reports directly to the Facilities and Grounds Superintendent.  Applicants must be able to walk over extended distances carrying equipment weighing in excess of 20 lbs. and be able to safely lift heavy objects such as full trash bags.
