Education: Associate Degree in Business or comparable field
Experience: One year of experience in Human Resources setting or 3 three years progressively responsible administrative or clerical work.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or comparable field
Experience: HR / HRIS experience in Higher Education.
Position Description
Description
Under general supervision of the Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department in overseeing the processing of applicants and maintaining employee and applicant records; and providing collaborative support to the HR department.
The search will remain open until this position is filled; however, to be considered for the initial screening, candidates should submit application materials by July 09, 2023.
Primary Duties:
HUMAN RESOURCES (approximately 85% of duties)
- Provide courteous and prompt customer service to applicants and employees
- Functions as the point person for processing of new hires and rehires through NEOGOV Onboarding
- Submits request for new employee background checks
- Ensures completion of I-9 Form for new hires and maintain I-9 records
- Completes E-Verify process timely
- Assists with the recruitment and interview process by compiling files, reports and spreadsheets
- Creates new employee files for full-time faculty and staff; files documents into appropriate electronic employee files
- Communicates information and documentation required to process employee payroll
- Maintain Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) Ellucian, NEOGOV, etc.) by performing the following functions:
- Maintains reports monthly or as required
- Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
- Provides clerical support for Director as needed and other HR related tasks as deemed necessary by Director of Human Resources.
CASHIER (approximately 15% of duties)
- Collecting and receipting all monies received by the College
- Distribute travel and payroll checks
- Custodian over petty cash fund
- Responsible for reimbursing lost funds in the vending/drink machines and pool table
- Responsible for collection of internal charges regarding Use of Facilities
- Custodian of the college receipt books
- Responsible for notifying individuals about returned checks
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Schedule / oversee use of company vehicles
- Order supplies for Accounting Department through E-Procurement
- Prepares and maintains sales tax spreadsheet
- Scan DCA's
- Other duties as assigned
