MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from a nationally accredited college required. 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • At least two years of professional work experience is required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Generally works in a traditional climate-controlled office environment and requires the ability to sit for extended periods. 
  • Some walking, standing, and bending required, and the ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds required. 
  • Work environment can be stressful at times in dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines.
  • In addition to regular office hours, the position sometimes requires overtime and/or evening hours.

Position Description

SUMMARY

 

OPEN UNTIL FILLED

Reporting to the Director - Human Resources, will serve as the primary coordinator and administrator of the talent acquisition processes and functions for the College.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Serves as the primary administrator of the Applicant Tracking System (NeoGov’s Insight), including end-user support and training.  
  2. Responsible for reviewing and maintaining job descriptions and collaborates with the Environmental, Health, and Safety department to develop and maintain physical demand requirements and job safety analysis. Ensures updated physical requirements are documented on position descriptions. May assist with position evaluation. 
  3. Coordinates personnel requests, prepares notices of positions available and advertisements for various publications and disseminates position information using various communication channels. 
  4. Coordinates the search process including reviewing of applications, distributing search-related information, scheduling interviews, preparing search-related documents, and coordinating any required internal testing. 
  5. Coordinates background and reference checks and schedules any required medical, drug, or related testing. 
  6. Coordinates job offers including obtaining appropriate approvals, drafting offer of employment letters and answering questions regarding compensation, benefits, and onboarding. Schedules in-person new hire orientation, ensures information is transferred to the online onboarding system (NeoGov’s Onboard), and assists new hires with the system.   
  7. Responsible for all recordkeeping related to the talent acquisition and related processes.
  8. Responsible for maintaining various HR and specifically talent acquisition reports and metrics.
  9. Coordinates the temporary staffing program in accordance with the College’s procedures.
  10. Answers general HR-related questions regarding employment, benefits, and policy and procedure.        
  11. Reviews relevant policies, procedures, and other relevant documents for continuous improvement. 
  12. Assist the Human Resources Department with various event-related activities and perform other duties as assigned, including special projects. 
  13. Maintains a high standard of professional and ethical practice in representing the College. Maintains confidentiality. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the field or discipline with continued adherence to professional accountability. Provides a high level of service to customers by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and partnerships. Accepts responsibility for managing situations and problems. Works cooperatively with team members and colleagues and contributes positively and constructively to the achievement of team and College objectives. Adheres to the College’s policies, procedures, and other established expectations. Keeps supervisor informed of concerns relating to position.  Serves on various College committees as required.
