Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Criminal Justice, Human Resources or a related field is required. A National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) or willingness to obtain the NCRC within three months of employment is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficient in commonly used computer software are required.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of two years of experience is preferred. Experience teaching adults and justice-involved individuals are preferred. Bilingual is preferred.
Position Description
Human Resource Development (HRD) Instructor will teach job readiness skills at multiple worksites in Wayne County to meet the needs of today’s job market. The HRD Instructor will teach the curriculum in accordance with course descriptions; develop, update and implement curriculum and educational materials and methods used to advance learning in the classroom; and organize and maintain class area, including physical facilities, equipment, inventory and materials in a clean, neat operating condition. Duties include maintain accurate class attendance records, compile student registration/fee waiver information and submit reports and administrative paperwork in a timely manner. The HRD Instructor will be responsible for coaching, follow up and tracking student success, and promote and recruit for Human Resources Development and National Career Readiness Certification throughout the community. The candidate will perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Director of Human Resources Development.
