Central Piedmont is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who is focused on customer service while also supporting the efforts of the HR department and the College. The range for the role is between $47,817 - $52,000, but working at Central Piedmont is about more than the pay. General Function:
This mid-level position will run the daily functions of the Human Resources department by managing HR disciplines, including compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance, employee leave, and records management. The individual in this role will provide guidance to employees and managers with a focus on improving efficiency and user experience while also enforcing the organizations’ policy and practices.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
1. Functions as a liaison to stakeholders to resolve a variety of tasks, including but not limited to disciplinary matters, investigations, trainings, personnel file maintenance and entering data for a variety of processes.
2. Responds to inquiries related to all HR functions with while providing excellent customer service, referring matters to the appropriate partners, as needed.
3. Organizes and manages compensation-related documents, managing website content, maintaining pay grades, generating reports, compiling data for surveys and researching market data.
4. Collaborates with the job description review process, including job analysis and drafting job descriptions.
5. Monitors and approves pay adjustments, such as raises and stipend requests and other financial transactions.
6. Partners/works with managers and or supervisors to interpret, address and enforce College’s policy and procedures that may include but are not limited to absenteeism, leave request such as FMLA, STD/LTD, disciplinary action, conflict resolution and separation process.
7. Assists with benefits and retirement administration. Counsels employees on benefits enrollment and retirement.
8. Maintains compliance with College policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, providing input for best practices and suggests process improvements.
9. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR.
10. Upholds employee confidentiality to the highest standard. Spearheads special projects to improve efficiency, customer service, and organization.
11. Collaborates with HR Business Partners on a variety of tasks related to employee relations and compensation.
12. Assists during Annual Open Enrollment process for College; communicates benefits program, informs/educates employees of open enrollment period, disseminates information regarding employee benefits plans.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
