Minimum Qualifications

Applicant must have previous experience with industry certification in one of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical.
 

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree in one of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or mechanical.

Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. On-line teaching experience. NCCER Certified Instructor (ICTP).

Position Description

The Corporate and Industry department provides individuals the basic skills needed for multiple trades including electrical, carpentry, HVAC and masonry. Qualified applicants should have a passion for these trades and a strong desire to share these trades with others.

Provide general classroom and clinical lab instruction both online and in a traditional setting according to the standards set by the department.

Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.

Incorporate latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process.

Assist in program recruitment.

Advise and register students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program.

Monitor and improve student retention.

Maintain class records.

Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, curriculum review, revision, and development.

Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.

Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.

Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.

Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
