Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum one year of experience in the database usage and retrieval.
Experience with Microsoft office products, SQL, HTML, experience in data entry and retrieval using relational databases. JavaScript programming experience is preferred.
Knowledge of:
- Ellucian's Colleague product(s).
- Entrinsik's INFORMER product.
- Operational services and activities of a fully interfaced Management Information System.
- Basic principles and practices of accounting.
- Computerized data processing systems.
- Relational database fundamentals.
- Document imaging.
- Experience in retrieving, examining and analyzing data in various ways.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (i.e. WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS and Windows).
Ability to:
- Implement goals, objectives, and practices for providing effective efficient computing services.
- Ability to work with great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work in a team environment.
- Network with colleagues on and off campus.
- Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals.
- Maintain a record of successful solutions for future reference.
- Perform tasks independently in the absence of direct supervision.

Position Description
Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priorities for assigned programs including those involving database management and security, database implementation, computer systems operations, and software implementation, administration and support.
Develop and maintain accurate and timely data reports for all areas of the college; oversee the implementation and maintenance of reports generated; create and maintain an automated reporting model.
Assist with database administrative processes and end-user support.
Assist and train users with communication management.
Develop of automated correspondence and tracking of documents.
Maintain and support document imaging document, including archiving and backup support for end users.
Assist end users with database and software support; answer questions, instruct and direct users to resources needed sustain business operations.
Document request solutions for future use and/or for easier user access.
Assist in developing and maintaining queries and reports for all areas of the college.
Attend training for new updated data retrieval functions.
Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of Information Systems.
Attend staff meetings, vendor demonstrations, and seminars as needed for information distribution/sharing.
Attend and participate in professional group meetings.
