Associate degree in Information Systems or related field and/or current Industry Certification(s) (CompTIA, A+, Sec+, Net+) required. One (1) to three (3) years of experience within a technology environment is preferred.

Position Description
Reporting under the Information Technology structure, the IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining all campus hardware and software. The IT Technician will ensure prompt delivery of services and/or equipment to all campus end users.
Essential Duties
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and inventory all campus hardware and software. Troubleshoot cabling and network connections for user access to campus networks. Maintain equipment integrity with regular system updates and enhancements. Maintains necessary records of service calls and equipment moves. Coordinate and perform hardware and software system maintenance as necessary to ensure secure delivery of resources. Interact with various campus departments to help define and deliver technical solutions to meet campus needs. Assist A/V Specialist with installing and maintaining various video, audio, and other multi-media equipment including campus camera system. Serves as backup to A/V specialist for campus events. Serves on institutional committees as appointed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Principles and practices of enterprise computer systems and related software including but not limited to the following:
Ability to: Install, configure & update hardware/software components. Ensure hardware/software integrity of network devices/applications. Display a general knowledge of Local Area Networks (LAN). Repair or replace damaged hardware. Install, configure & upgrade endpoint software. Troubleshoot & resolve hardware and software issues. Exhibit effective communication skills verbally & in writing. Understand technical language. Maintain effective working relationships with end users (students, staff, faculty).
