Position Description
The Instructional Accessibility Specialist provides technical assistance and support to Distance Learning and Disability Support Services in the areas of accessible online education and accessible digital media. This position will work with both offices in the development of accessibility materials for distance education.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Develops accessible training and course materials for faculty and staff in the areas of accessible online course materials and accessible digital media.
- Provides technical assistance to faculty in the creation or remediation of course materials for accessibility compliance.
- Maintains database that tracks course reviews and progress towards accessibility for all online and hybrid courses.
Knowledge Of:
- Fundamentals and techniques of creating online forms and digital media
- Graphic design tools
- Microsoft Office
