Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC) is seeking qualified applicants for this exempt full-time position to provide individual and group professional development that will enhance understanding of research-based instruction and adult learning theory. Selected applicant will ensure high-quality instruction through modeling, co-planning and teaching, classroom observation, and providing reflective feedback and support to instructors to enrich student-learning experiences and advance instructional practice.
The ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and work well with others is critical to experiencing success in this position. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Duties
Design and facilitate professional development in areas such as instructional strategies, appropriate learning technology, content, assessment, and quality assurance measures.
Assist faculty with aligning appropriate instructional strategies to course learning objectives.
Disseminate new developments in online, hybrid, blended, and face-to-face best practices, learning technologies, quality assurance, and andragogy.
Collaborate with subject-matter experts on updates and revisions to courses.
Assist interdepartmental teams and learning communities design and implement applied or contextual learning and project-based instructional practices to improve student outcomes in core subjects.
Assist faculty with designing instruction based on assessment data to improve student learning outcomes.
Engage faculty in the development of instructional strategies to improve educational programs based on the results of institutional assessments.
Provide support for classroom motivation and management strategies.
Lead internal, faculty-driven instructional subgroups and committees.
Design and facilitate an FTCC virtual presence to promote communication and collaboration among faculty and research-driven practices to improve teaching and learning.
Perform related duties as assigned.
