Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of and intermediate skills with technology and software including, computers and web-based resources such as BlackBoard
Advanced knowledge and skills in instructional design, development, and delivery methodologies
Basic knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 standards in the creation of instructional content
Ability to accommodate various instructional methodologies including group collaboration, self-study, simulations, etc
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Ability to problem solve, think logically, and troubleshoot issues
Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others
Able to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Intermediate skills with MS Office products
Requirements:
Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field
Three years work experience relating to instructional design
Online teaching experience
Experience designing course content
Proficiency with digital audio and video recording and editing techniques and tools
Proficiency in the design, creation, and development/maintenance of supportive media products such as websites, print media (brochures, pamphlets, etc.), email campaigns, social media, newsletters, posters, booth design.
Proficiency with developing instructional products that incorporate audio and video features for synchronous and asynchronous courses, podcasts, webinars, YouTube videos, tutorials, performance support tools, MOOCs, interactive lesson modules, etc.
Willingness and ability to travel to site locations including some overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience producing learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and course redesign needs
Experience with the flipped classroom model
Experience with identifying and securing appropriate educational materials to ensure compliance with necessary copyrights
Position Description
This position is responsible for instructional design, development, and maintenance of new and innovative models of instruction, with a focus on accelerated learning in online and technology-enabled learning formats, including mobile learning and asynchronous/synchronous courseware.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

*Coordinates instructional design projects from inception to completion
*Assists in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices for online, hybrid, and seated course formats
*Consults with faculty and other team members on instructional design and learning objectives and collaborates to ensure course design effectively supports course and program outcomes
*Implements the flipped classroom model by integrating multimodal, universal design, and adult learning instructional design techniques
* Provides training for instructors to understand and iplement sound instructional methodologies.
Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and program/college information needs
Designs and develops accessible content
Develops and coordinates innovative educational initiatives, such as MOOCs, to support the program
Develops and collaborates with faculty and team members on the creation of open educational resources
Provides assistance and training to faculty in technology tools and methods, use of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia
Coordinates the release of learning materials under Creative Commons licensing
Collaborates and coordinates the evaluation of learning materials developed under the program for effectiveness
Reports regularly on tasks and progress
