The Instructional Lab Facilitator is responsible for assisting instructors and students during laboratory intensive courses, as well as assisting students with assignment questions during open lab time. In addition to helping during specified courses, the instructional lab facilitator will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, upgrading, and troubleshooting the information technology laboratories on the Mooresville Campus. The instructional lab facilitator may assist instructors with program projects as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform extensive testing on all equipment to ensure functionality for all IT classes • Perform server upgrades and maintenance testing to ensure that each laboratory is communicating properly • Responsible for repairing and replacing components within machines when an failure occurs • Assist curriculum instructors during laboratory exercises to design a meaningful learning experience for students • Assist in instructor projects • Recommend equipment purchases in coordination with existing faculty and staff • Assist students with course homework during open lab times Related Responsibilities: • Work as a team member with all existing curriculum & continuing education faculty and staff • Perform other duties as assigned Physical Effort: Must be able to bend, stoop, and life up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Scheduling: This is a part-time position.
