Minimum Qualifications
An Associate degree from an accredited college with major course work related to assigned area of responsibility, or equivalent with one to three years of experience in recreation, physical fitness or wellness facility, sports management, or coaching athletic programs.
First-aid training and CPR/AED certification required.
Possess and maintain a health and fitness related certification.

Announcement Summary
Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position. Duties
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct health and fitness assessments and provide instructions in the safe and proper use of exercise equipment to wellness center patrons.
Clean and maintain exercise equipment.
Provide instructions to members and guests on basic equipment set-up.
Report complaints, ensure members are signing in, maintain equipment maintenance records, and enforce rules and regulations that apply to use of the facility.
Work with the Health and Fitness Science Department Chair to ensure the FTCC Fitness Center and gymnasium standards are maintained.
Assist instructional staff with preparations required for demonstrations; set-up lab space, fitness center, gymnasium, and prepare necessary materials and equipment.
Provide general information and assistance to students on equipment operation, use and location of materials, and safety procedures.
Schedule and facilitate the use of the fitness center, gymnasium, and laboratory activities.
Monitor students using fitness center equipment and participating in gymnasium activities; enforce policies and procedures.
Assist in ordering and maintaining adequate supplies and material inventories; maintain equipment and supply usage records.
Provide general instruction and assistance to students on a variety of lab and course related matters; review student work in progress and assist in resolving problems.
Perform related duties as assigned.
