Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Business Administration or closely related field OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or closely related field and experience teaching courses in data mining, data-warehousing, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and project management
SAS Base Programmer certification and/or 5 years experience working with SAS products and software
Experience working with R and/or Python programming
Experience teaching and/or training adults in a professional capacity

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Analytics
5 years working as a Data Scientist or in a position whose main function requires extensive use of business analytics
SAS industry certifications, including SAS Statistical Business Analyst
Experience working with Tableau or other visualization tools
Experience working with Hadoop or similar tools and technologies
Position Description
This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

* Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
* Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
* Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
* Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
* Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
* Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction
Maintains regular office hours
Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology
Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
Serves on college or department committees as needed
Attends professional development opportunities when possible
Makes and maintains contacts with other professionals in mathematics and mathematics education at the secondary, university, and the two-year college level
Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus
Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate
Participates in graduation exercises
