1. Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree;
2. Must have teaching experience;
3. Must have experience working with academically underprepared students.
Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience teaching College Success classes in a North Carolina community college;
2. Proficiency using Moodle or other Learning Management systems;
3. Supervisory experience;
4. Experience with online instruction;
5. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
Position Description
Job Description Summary
This position provides instruction in Academic Related Instruction – Student Success (ACA), assists the Chair with mentoring and supervising adjunct faculty, contributes to ACA curriculum design, and represents the ACA department on committees and at campus events.
Duties
1. Maintains mastery of subject matter.
2. Develops and/or teaches courses for which the appropriate credential is held.
3. Teaches in various formats, various locations, and via various delivery methods.
4. Adheres to policies, procedures, expectations, and practices of the College, the department, and discipline.
5. Communicates clearly with students, other faculty, and staff.
6. Contributes to a safe and secure campus environment.
7. Enforces Code of Classroom Conduct and Code of Student Conduct.
8. Assists with program reviews, program accreditation, and SACSCOC accreditation as appropriate.
9. Attends meetings and events and actively participates on committees and task forces.
10. Attends the annual commencement ceremony.
11. Upholds the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
12. Supports diversity in all aspects.
13. Establishes or upholds learning outcomes that are relevant and meaningful.
14. Evaluate student progress in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
15. Develops, prepares, and/or delivers all levels of curriculum courses.
16. Completes required professional development annually.
17. Assists Chair with onboarding, mentoring, and supervision of adjunct instructors.
18. Maintains office hours.
19. Contributes to the development and maintenance of ACA course templates.
