Minimum Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.. Note: This position primarily works with corrections facilities; obtain and maintain NC Department of Public Safety (prisons) clearance and COVID-19 vaccinations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Adult Basic Skills, a community college setting, and/or corrections facilities preferred
Position Description
Deliver high-quality instruction, assess student learning, maintain grades/attendance, submit required paperwork and records, and recognize and respond to student learning needs. Perform all instructional-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College. Assist with orientation, testing, and program outreach initiatives. This position reports to the Director, Adult Basic Skills. While this position is primarily teaching, the position may assist with orientation and testing, program outreach, and other duties as assigned by the Director or Dean. This instructional position requires instruction in local corrections facilities.
