Minimum Qualifications
Provide quality instruction in all courses to meet the occupational needs of the students. Teach building trade skills to disadvantaged youth, ages 16-21, at Schenck Civilian Conservation Corps in Transylvania County.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Associate’s Degree in building or related field. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience:
All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting or demonstrated instructional / teaching environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: a strong commitment to safety, the ability to instruct building trade techniques while counseling disadvantaged youth in an institutional setting. Strong personal and professional integrity, verbal and written communication skills, and commitment to professional development and student success. Instructional experience preferred, and fluency in English and Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands:
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
