Coastal Carolina Community College invites applications to teach a Cardiovascular Technician/Monitor technician course to prepare students to become EKG technicians/monitor technicians and prepare students for National CET exam through NHA. Specific duties include instructing students to perform 12 lead EKG’s, specifically how to operate equipment, procedure, mounting strips and the reading and interpretation of cardiac tracings; instructing students in cardiac anatomy and physiology; instructing students in the recognition of multiple cardiac dysrhythmias; instructing students in cardiac terminology and cardiac disease processes; instructing students about medications used in patients with cardiac disease or dysrhythmias; and medications with cardiac effects. A high school diploma or equivalent, medical professional with experience in cardiac care (preferably 3 years or more), and experience teaching adults, required. An Associate degree or higher, preferred.
Salary: $18.00 per hour.
Start Date: July 1, 2019.
