Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Chemistry or related discipline from an accredited college or university with 18 graduate semester hours in chemistry or related discipline required.

Increasingly responsible experience in an academic field; experience teaching at a community college preferred. Experience with distance learning courses preferred.

Position Description

Teaches 15-22 contact hours of chemistry courses in a classroom or distance learning setting. Works closely with chemistry instructors on both the Caldwell campus and the Watauga campus. Prepares objectives and syllabi for courses taught. Advises and meets with students, maintaining office/conference hours according to institutional policy. Participates in professional development activities. Attends departmental meetings, college activities and cultural events.

This is a 9-month position working from mid-August to mid-May.
