Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

1. Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline with 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice; 

2. Experience as an instructor with learning management systems within the past five years such as Moodle or
Blackboard or experience in Criminal Justice within the past five years.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

1. Teaching experience in the Community College System;
2. Teaching experience in a high school environment;
3. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Position Description

Job Description Summary

This position provides instruction for the Criminal Justice Technology Program, and the Career and College Promise (CCP) as needed.

Duties

1. Maintains mastery of subject matter.
2. Teaches in various formats and locations (face to face, HyFlex, online, or in the Career and College Promise Program (CCP) in a local high school environment).
3. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with the faculty, staff, high school administrations, and students.
4. Establishes learning outcomes that are relevant and meaningful.
5. Evaluates student progress in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
6. Maintains accurate records of student performance and submits grades according to deadlines.
7. Serves on College committees and/or high school committees.
8. Advises students.
9. Adheres to policies, procedures, values/ethics, expectations, and practices of the College Department, and discipline.
10. Assists Department Chair with Career College Promise (CCP) High School programs as directed, including instructional or supervision duties.
11. Attends AB-Tech’s Commencement Ceremony.
12. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
13. Supports diversity in all aspects.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
