Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree in the IT field with certifications in A+, Network+, Security+. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Specialized certificates in Information Technology, including but not limited to CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, CISSP, CCNA, CEH, SSCP, or Microsoft Technology Associate. Proficient in computer programming language, networking concepts. 

Preferred Qualifications

At least three years related work experience.

Position Description

Cyber security instructor will teach, develop, manage and cyber security courses and coursework that incorporates industry-recognized credentials into curriculum and continuing education courses. Instructor will teach online and face-to-face in the following subject matters, but not limited to cyber security/crime, virtual and cloud concepts and hardware/software. Instructor will provide quality instruction while preparing students to successfully pass certification exams and be successful in the cyber arena. Instructor will work with departmental staff in recruiting students; perform variety of other related duties; be flexible to a changing environment and maintain required documentation. Will also head the IT Advisory Committee for the IT program. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with the college teleworking policy.
