Minimum Qualifications

Requires vocational certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related area with three years advanced training and/or related work experience in specified teaching area. Must pass and maintain Department of Public Safety (prisons) security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer teaching experience and/or two years’ work experience in government agency interacting with individuals involved with the Criminal Justice System; prefer Siemens Level I credential. 

Position Description

Manage instructional program and teach up to 32 hours classroom and lab hours per week in Industrial Maintenance in a medium security correctional facility located in Yanceyville, NC; work with correctional staff in recruiting students; perform variety of other duties; and maintain required documentation
