Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Mathematics or a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate semester hours in a combination of courses from mathematics or related fields. Transcripts should be from an accredited college or university. 

Note: A Master’s degree in Mathematics Education is not the same as a Master’s in Mathematics. Master’s degrees in Mathematics Education will be required to have a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collegially with faculty and staff.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success.
  • Prior teaching experience at the community college level is strongly preferred.
  • Experience teaching high-school students.
  • Use of current technology in mathematics instruction and experience teaching online classes.

Position Description

Will teach a variety of day, evening, hybrid, or online classes in the mathematics curriculum ranging from Developmental Mathematics up through Calculus III. The instructor may teach classes at off-site locations as needed. The instructor will provide academic advising to students and will perform other departmental and/or college-wide duties as needed.
