Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related required.
2. Five years experience in a clinical medical laboratory required.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Master’s degree preferred.
2. Three years teaching experience preferred.

Position Description

The essential duties of this position are the teaching of clinical and transdisciplinary courses to include development and implementation of course documents, testing, and course evaluation as assigned in the Medical Laboratory Technology program and Medical Assisting program. In addition to instructing, this employee assists the Medical Laboratory Technology Program Coordinator with the following tasks: advising students; recruitment; performing inventory; ordering supplies and equipment; developing curriculum; supervising clinical rotations; fulfilling the national requirements to maintain an accredited program; maintaining clinical instrumentation; procurement of clinical specimens and maintaining SDS information; serving on college committees as elected or appointed; and participating in assessment of course or program outcomes. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor(s).
