Position Description
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Teaches classes involving a variety of stringed instruments to adult students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Recruits students to fill classes personally taught.
- Provides and follows a detailed syllabus, teaching 3-4 hours weekly for a 16-week semester (spring/fall) and/ or 8-week session (summer).
- Provides individual feedback to adult students tailored to move them forward from their current level.
- Submits news and photos of student work for posting on Southport Center’s social media accounts.
- Assists the Director with developing the Southport Center course schedule during each semester by submitting and reviewing own line-item entries.
- Submits timesheets and attendance rosters in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintains good rapport with colleagues and students.
- Other duties as assigned by the director.
