Instructor, Nursing provides accessible, quality learning experiences within the classroom, laboratory, clinical, and/or distance learning settings; facilitates the learning process to help students be successful; provides accurate, quality academic and career advisement for students; seeks professional development opportunities to implement best practices in teaching within their discipline area; maintains office hours according to institutional policy; completes required course assessments and documentation in an accurate and timely manner; attends college meetings, student activities, institutional functions; and contributes to the development of curriculum courses and programs.

Experience: Two years of experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting. Current, unrestricted license as a registered nurse in NC or current, unrestricted multistate licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina.

Training: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university required, Master's degree in nursing preferred. Prior to or within first three years of employment, must have preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, appropriate to assignment and complete Master's of Science in nursing.

License or Certificate: Possession of a current unrestricted license or multistate licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina.  Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.
