Blue Ridge Community College is currently accepting applications for an Instructor- Physics & Math, 9 months. The primary purpose of this position is to sustain a high-quality teaching performance in Physics including appropriate course loads. This load may include seated, hybrid, and online classes with day and evening course assignments at any of our campus locations or any area high school. This position will be based on the Henderson County campus.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must have a Master’s Degree in Physics or closely related area with 18 graduate credit hours in Physics. Additionally, it is preferred that the candidate is also qualified to teach astronomy and/or math.

Experience: It is preferred that applicants have verifiable and relevant professional experience in an instructional or teaching environment.

Knowledge and Skills: Current knowledge in the field.

• Possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, Content Management Systems (CMS), College email and website, web-based computer applications associated with the position.

Physical Demands: The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
