Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing with a concentration in Education from an accredited institution. Experience teaching in a nursing program that prepares graduates at entry level to take the NCLEX-PN and/or NCLEX-RN. Those without an education concentration will be expected to meet the NC Board of Nursing’s Education requirement within two years of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited college or university. Two years in clinical practice as a registered nurse.
Position Description
The purpose of this position is to plan, prepare for, and teach assigned courses; evaluate student progress and provide academic advising; supervise and evaluate PN students in clinical activities; maintain necessary records and submit institutional reports in a timely manner; assist in departmental and institutional planning; serve on college committees; perform other job-related duties. This position reports to the Director, Nursing Programs and the Dean, Health & Public Safety
