Minimum Qualifications

Require Training and Experience: Must have experience at a journey or technician level with at least three years expertise in welding. Documented computer skills are essential. Diploma in welding from a professional school/college with a minimum of three years of welding experience required. Must be able to perform welds on various metals including stainless steel, carbon, aluminum, pipe and plate. Demonstrated performance in Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) Shielded Metal Arc Welding of Plate/Pipe (Stick), Cutting Processes (OFC/Plasm/Arc Gouging), blueprint reading and welding symbols.

Preferred Experience: Experience teaching at a post-secondary level is highly preferred. Prior experience teaching online (Moodle) and/or hybrid courses preferred.

Position Description

Instructor, Welding Technologies provides accessible, quality learning experiences within the classroom, laboratory, clinical, and/or distance learning settings; facilitates the learning process to help students be successful; provides accurate, quality academic and career advisement for students; seeks professional development opportunities to implement best practices in teaching within their discipline area; maintains office hours according to institutional policy; completes required course assessments and documentation in an accurate and timely manner; attends college meetings, student activities, institutional functions; and contributes to the development of curriculum courses and programs.
