Minimum Qualifications
Requires Associates degree; minimum two years welding experience; one year teaching experience preferred; AWS certifications; CWE and CWI credentials preferred; ability to obtain and maintain NC Department of Public Safety clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach in a correctional setting.
Position Description
Provide quality learning opportunities that assist students in meeting their educational goals and career aspirations; teach classes and labs to both high school and adult students including MIG, TIG, & Stick welding; instruct students on the use of shop equipment abd safety regulations; working knowledge of welding symbols and specifications; collaborate with other faculty and program chair in development, implementation, and evaluation of the program curriculum; post and maintain office hour availability, and advise students. Instruction may take place in a correctional setting contingent upon NC Department of Public Safety clearance.
