Position Description
This position is responsible for the development and support of transitional programming for all College and Career Readiness (CCR) students and classroom instruction.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Establishes and executes meaningful learning objectives, adjusting instructional strategies, when needed, to meet diverse student needs
* Develops curriculum as needed by planning and organizing instruction using level specific materials and methodologies to include contextualized curriculum materials for career pathways in order to maximize student learning
*Maintains, tracks and analyzes all required documentation (attendance, testing results, outcomes, releases, etc.) in student files and meets all submission deadlines and requirements as specified by Supervisor, NRS and state and federal funding
*Develops partnerships between divisions within the college to encourage CCR students to enroll in Continuing Education and Curriculum classes
*Encourages student retention -- conducts initial student appointments, initiates regular contact and consistent mentoring
Learns and implements technology to enhance instruction
Inventories student interests, researches and develops career and educational preparation classes and pathways for transition to Continuing Education and Curriculum classes to be aligned with state mandates
Presents career and educational pathway information to qualifying students and recruits students to enroll in transitional programs
Responds in a timely and professional manner to enrollment and program inquiries
Collects data and tracks students as they move from CCR programs into Continuing Education and Curriculum to ensure successful transition
Promotes continuous improvement by completing an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to develop original lesson plans that incorporate contextualized instruction or real-life authentic materials
Ability to remain student focused in decision making and communications
Ability to be flexible, take changes in stride, and remain calm under pressure
Detail oriented and organized
Demonstrate higher level thinking skills and judgment in order to analyze a situation, trouble shoot problems, make decisions and strategically plan how to meet division and CCR goals
Ability to take initiative, be self- directed, and able to multi-task
Excellent communication skills, including oral and written and listening skills
Ability to analyze data and write reports
Available to work a flexible schedule, as needed, including day and evening hours
