Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Collision Repair & Refinishing or related field
Five years of relevant industry experience in a Collision Repair facility
ASE or I-Car Collision Certified

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology or related field
ASE Master Collision Repair Technician Certification or I-Car Platinum Individual Recognition
Teaching experience with assessment of Student Learning Outcomes in an Automotive Technology program
NC Safety and OBDII certification
Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System

Job Summary
Responsible for providing effective instruction for the curriculum and assisting the division Dean as the first-line manager of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities of the department.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

* Instructs and guides the class in an effective and efficient manner
* Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
* Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
* Plans the teaching schedules during the semester for faculty members
* Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
* Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
* Reviews faculty and adjunct applications to make recommendations
* Leads and mentors faculty and adjunct instructors
* Makes budget recommendations
* Plans and conducts monthly program meetings as needed
Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction
Maintains office hours
Stays abreast of most current teaching methods and technology in the classroom
Serves on college or department committee meetings as necessary
Attends professional development opportunities when possible
Assists in establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus
Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep course up-to-date and appropriate
Participates in graduation exercise
