Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems,  Information Systems, Information Technology,  or Software Engineering.

Experience in JavaScript , Java, C#,  C++, Python or Database programming.

Unofficial transcripts must be uploaded with your application or submitted to Human Resources prior to consideration for interview.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a computer related field OR a Master's degree in Business Administration with a combination of 18 graduate credit hours in business analytics and management information systems.

Industry experience in JavaScript , Java, C#, C++, or Database programming using NoSQL.

Technical/Instructional industry recognized certifications

Teaching experience with a learning management system, preferably Blackboard

Position Description

This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for the curriculum and assisting the division Dean and  Department Head as the first-line manager of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities of department.

*Serve as lead for assigned degree programs/certificates

* Supervise and evaluate assigned staff

*Review data and complete institutional effectiveness reporting
*Participate in recruitment and retention activities

* Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner

* Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance

* Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour

* Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment

* Grades and returns student work in a timely manner

* Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course

* Review faculty and adjunct applications and make recommendations

* Lead and mentor instructors and adjuncts

* Make budget recommendations

* Plan and conduct monthly program meetings as needed

*Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction

Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course

Maintains regular office hours

Stays abreast of most current teaching methods and technology in the classroom

Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching

Serves on college or department committees as needed

Attends professional development opportunities when possible

Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus

Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate

Participate in graduation exercises

Completes annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
