Minimum Qualifications
Requirements:
Associate's degree in a related field with an unlimited Electrical contracting license and two years teaching experience
OR
Associate's degree in a related field with a limited Electrical contracting license and three years in residential or commercial electrical experience and two years supervisory experience and two years teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications
Preferences:
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical or Computer Technical related degree
Five years of residential or commercial electrical experience
Three years supervisory experience
Three years teaching experience
Teaching or tutoring experience in the Electrical Systems discipline at the community college level with knowledge of Blackboard learning management system is also preferred

Job Summary
Responsible for providing effective instruction for the curriculum and assisting the division Dean and Administrative Department Head as the first-line manager of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities of department.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

* Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
* Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance
* Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour
* Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
* Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
* Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course
* Review faculty and adjunct applications and make recommendations
* Lead and mentor instructors and adjuncts
* Make budget recommendations
* Plan and conduct monthly program meetings as needed
Grades and returns student work in a timely manner
Constructs classroom materials that support the goals of the course
Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction
Maintains regular office hours
Stays abreast of most current teaching methods and technology in the classroom
Uses assessment techniques to improve learning and teaching
Serves on college or department committees as needed
Attends professional development opportunities when possible
Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus
Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate
Participate in graduation exercises
