Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience aligning curriculum and assessments to learning standards
· Familiarity with adult learning theories
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Adult Education or a related field
· Experience with developing industry-specific contextualized curriculum
· Minimum of one year experience working in an adult education or post-secondary environment
· NRS-approved Adult Education (AE) Certification (AE CORE Certificate, AE Advanced Instructional Certificate, AE Specialty Certificate, K-12 Certification, Special Education Certification, and/or TESOL Certification)

Job Description
The IELCE Instructor and Student Support Specialist is a part-time position located primarily on the OCH Campus in Monroe, NC. Under the direction of the IELCE Coordinator, this position will instruct students within the IELCE pathways through contextualized classes with industry-specific objectives and related curricula for English Language Learners. This position will also assist with transitioning and tracking IELCE students through additional post-secondary educational opportunities.
Job Duties
· Consult with the IELCE Coordinator regarding the scope and sequencing chart for implementing curricula
· Instruct students within the IELCE pathways with contextualized lesson plans for regionally in-demand jobs
· Collaborate with other IELCE instructors to ensure continuity of instruction and shared learning outcomes.
· Integrate evidence-based instructional practices for engaging adult learners in curricula
· Support students as they transition from IELCE pathways into other certification programs and areas of the college
· Track students who transition to IET and/or career pathway programs and provide support as needed for completion of credential
· Prepare, submit, and maintain all required transition-related documentation.
· Other duties as assigned by the IELCE Coordinator, ESOL Coordinator, or the Dean of the School of College and Career Readiness.
