Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree and three years of experience in 3D printing, Maker Space equipment, CAD, or animation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description

This position assists with utilization and safe use of equipment and supplies in Maker space labs.

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.
 
*Prepares 3D printers and equipment in the Maker spaces for laboratory use

*Maintains an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies

*Creates, revises, and modifies equipment documentation

*Assists students in labs with understanding the objectives of the laboratory

*Assist students in developing troubleshooting skills

Prepares and sets up all equipment and parts needed to conduct laboratory assignments

Assists instructors as needed with lab equipment

Maintain a program of safety in all laboratory training

Confers with instructors to determine supply and equipment needs

Maintains equipment and supplies

Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficiency in computer software and hardware applications, including Microsoft Office suite applications

Excellent written and oral communication skills

A strong working knowledge of FDM 3D printers

Knowledge of basic electronics and soldering skills

Knowledge of Arduino based control systems a plus

Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools, including machine tools
